Home visits — massage therapists who come to you

What is a home visit?

It's a massage that comes to you. Instead of driving to a studio, you book a therapist who travels to your home, your office, a guesthouse or a hotel room — some people call this a mobile massage. The therapist brings a professional massage table, and many bring linen and oils too; check what's included when you book. All you need is a quiet room with a bit of floor space. It suits days with no gaps in them, and afterwards there's no drive home to undo the good work.

A professional table, wherever you are

Our terms for therapists say treatments are given on a professional massage table, and that holds for home visits too. The table travels with the therapist, so you get the same height, support and setup you'd have in a treatment room, without sitting in traffic to get there.

Where are home visits available?

That depends on the therapist: each profile shows the area they're willing to travel to. In the Western Cape, for example, Ruan (one of the fictional example profiles) covers Greater Cape Town with a 1 hour full body massage or a sports massage at your home, office or hotel. Elsewhere in the country, open all provinces and check the travel area on each profile.

How does booking work?

Choose a therapist, tap Request a booking, and tell them where you are and what time suits you. The therapist gets back to you to confirm. Afterwards, if you're a registered member and booked through your Sensunova account, you can rate that therapist once. For a home visit the Getting there score is skipped, since you didn't have to travel. A therapist without ratings yet shows as New — not yet rated.

What does a home visit cost?

Each therapist sets their own rates, and the distance they travel can affect the price. With Nova, our paid membership, you see prices on listings and can sort therapists by price.
