For clients

How ratings work

Stars and tags, and nothing to type. Every rating comes from a registered member who booked the therapist through Sensunova.

Anonymous ratings

Stars and tags — that's the whole rating

You give 1 to 5 stars on six criteria and tick any of ten fixed tags that fit. There's no comment box, on purpose: the stars and tags carry what the next person needs.

Ratings are anonymous. Your name is never shown, and new ratings are published in batches of three, so no single client's score is shown on its own. Therapists see their scores on their profile, exactly as everyone else does.

Each rating comes from a booking made through Sensunova, and each member gets one rating per therapist. A new therapist shows as New — not yet rated until their first ratings come in.

Browsing every listing, reading ratings and sending a booking request need no account at all. There's more on the FAQ.

Rate your therapist

Only registered members can rate a therapist, and only one they booked through their Sensunova account — one rating per therapist. A free account is all it takes — Nova membership isn't needed.

1. Sign in with your email address. We email you a link, and the first time it creates your free account.

2. Book through your account. Send your booking request from the therapist's profile while you're signed in.

3. Rate after your visit. From the day after the date you booked for, the therapist is listed under Rate your therapist on your account page.

A booking request sent while you're signed out isn't linked to an account, so it can't be rated.

Six criteria, 1 to 5 stars

Getting there

Was the place simple to find, with somewhere easy and safe to park? Skipped for home visits, since the therapist comes to you.

The room

Was the treatment room clean, warm and private, and the shower in good order where there is one?

Professionalism

On time, tidy and businesslike from the first hello to the goodbye.

Care and attention

Did they ask what you wanted, tell you what they'd do, and check in on your comfort along the way?

Technique

The skill of the massage itself — pressure, rhythm, and whether it matched what you booked.

Overall

Your view of the whole visit. It's the one score every rating needs.

Each one runs from 1 star (poor) to 5 stars (excellent). Only Overall is required, so leave out anything that didn't apply.

Ten tags — tick any that fit

Punctual Clean, tidy room Easy to find Easy parking Firm pressure Gentle pressure Listened to what I wanted Very relaxing Good value Would book again

Tick as many as fit, or none at all. Every listing uses this same fixed list, tantric included — there are no other tags, and you can't add your own.

No comment box — by design

A rating has no text field, and that's a choice we made. Stars and tags answer the questions that matter — was the room clean, did the pressure suit you, would you go back — and every profile stays about the massage.

This is everything a therapist's profile shows:

  • the overall average, with a breakdown of how many 5-, 4-, 3-, 2- and 1-star ratings it's made of
  • the average for each of the six criteria
  • a count for each tag that's been ticked — for example Would book again ×2

No names, no quotes — just the averages and the tag counts.

How ratings protect you

Anonymous

Your name is never shown next to a rating. Therapists see the same averages and tag counts as everyone else — never who gave them.

How ratings stay honest →

Published in batches of three

New ratings wait until there are three, then go live together, so no single score can be linked to one visit.

Booked through Sensunova

Only a member who booked the therapist through their Sensunova account can rate them, and only once. A therapist you never booked can't be rated, and there's no second rating for the same therapist.
