Privacy statement

What we collect, why, who sees it — in plain language.

Sensunova is a massage therapist directory. Our whole business is helping you find a therapist — not trading in your personal information. This statement explains what we collect, what we do with it, and the rights you have under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect, and why

When you browse: nothing personal. The site doesn't require an account to browse, and we don't run advertising trackers.

When you contact us or request an appointment: your name, email address, cell number if you give it, and whatever you write in your message. We use it to answer you and — if you've asked for an appointment — to relay your request to the therapist concerned. That's the entire purpose.

When you buy a gift voucher: your contact details, the recipient's name and email, and your payment. We use these to issue and deliver the voucher and to keep the accounting records the law requires.

When you evaluate a therapist: evaluations are tied to an SMS-verified cell number so that ratings come from real, paid massages. Published evaluations never show your name or number — and ratings update in batches of three specifically so a therapist can't work out who said what.

When you list your practice: the details you give us for your public profile (name, areas, services, hours, photos) are published on the directory — that's the point of a listing. Billing details stay private.

Who sees your information

Appointment requests go to the therapist you chose. Voucher details go to the therapist redeeming the voucher. Beyond that, we don't sell, rent or share personal information with anyone, unless the law compels us to.

How long we keep it

Correspondence is kept for as long as we need it to help you, voucher and billing records for the periods tax law requires, and evaluation verification data for as long as the rating it supports is published.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless a law requires us to keep it). Email hello@sensunova.co.za and a real person — not a queue — will sort it out. If you're not happy with our answer, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Cookies

The site works without tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics, it will be privacy-respecting and this page will say so first.
